Announcing the Winners But Best Film Still to Come!

After much deliberation, our distinguished panel of judges has selected this year’s winning films for the US Virtual 48HFP Eastern North. Congratulations to all of the filmmakers and teams who participated. We are proud to announce our winners.

And a special Congratulations to NC Productions from New York, whose film, "X Points," took home 3rd Place Best Film!

Who Will Win Best Film?!?!
Find out at the Best of the US Virtual 48HFP East!  The top three (3) films of the Eastern North (listed above) will screen at the Best of the US Virtual — Eastern North, Mid, & South and Cleveland 48HFP on Friday, November 13th at 8pm EST.  And at the end of the screening (12 films in total -- 3 from each region), we will celebrate the evening's films and announce live the winner of each region's Best Film!

Ryan Lewis -- Cinematographer, Producer, Owner of Cider Mill Productions. Recently served as Director of Photography on CANDY CORN, a feature film released by Epic Pictures in 2019.  Resides in Cincinnati, OH.

Austin Madrid -- Cinematographer, Producer and Co-Owner of Jak + Flux, an award-winning, cinematic video, photography, and live-stream creative studio.  Resides in Albuquerque, NM.

Melissa Robison -- Senior Product Manager at The Great Courses, has been working on and producing feature films, documentaries, and short films for over 20 years.  Producer of ten 48 Hour Film Projects and Past-President of the North Carolina Filmmakers Association.  Resides in Falls Church, VA.
