The director of 2019's award-winning 48HFP film "Scare" shares five filmmaking tips

Sarah Grant from Coven Productions in Edinburgh shares five filmmaking tips that helped her create 2019's global award-winning film "Scare", which won Best Film in the Edinburgh 48HFP, Runner-Up, Best Editing, and Best Actress in our global 48HFP Awards from last year's Filmapalooza, and was chosen as one of the films to represent the 48 Hour Film Project as part of this year's Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner. Cannes ended up being postponed due to the coronavirus, but we still wanted to share these excellent filmmaking tips, since they could be very beneficial to filmmakers creating films during this pandemic. And even though Grant's film was made as part of our flagship 48HFP competition, following this advice will definitely help any filmmaker participating in the upcoming Four Points Film Project, or any other filmmaking project.

"Scare" was basically a one-woman operation, with Grant herself in front of the camera performing what was essentially a monologue. In the video, she shares how she was able to pull everything off by herself. This just goes to show you that filmmaking is indeed possible during the coronavirus pandemic, if you stay creative, and follow the tips that she has shared.
