The 48 US Virtual 48

1. Eligibility

The US Virtual 48 is open to filmmakers in specific US Cities as listed on the website www.48hourfilm.com. To be eligible, one of the following must be true:

• The team leader or a team member is a resident of one of the listed cities (MSA); and/or
• The team has participated in one of the listed cities in the past; and/or
• The team registered for one of the listed cities as part of the New Year's 2021 promotion.

2. To Enter

To register for the US Virtual 48, follow the instructions found at www.48hourfilm.com/us-virtual. Registration is based on a first-come first-served basis and space is limited. Registration fees range from $128- $148 per team. Registration ends the day before competition begins.

3. Official Filmmaking Period

The US Virtual 48 will commence on Friday, October 15 and end on the following Sunday, October 17 as announced on US Virtual 48 webpage.

4. Refunds

In the United States, if a team (Entrant) registered during the Early Bird, Regular, or Late registration phases of the project but must withdraw, refunds will be paid on the following schedule: Notify 48 Hour Film Project, Inc. of withdrawal in writing (submit the form below) within 24 hours of completing your registration and receive a full refund; Notify 48 Hour Film Project, Inc. of withdrawal during the Early Bird or Regular registration period and receive a full refund minus a $15 administrative fee; Notify 48 Hour Film Project, Inc. of withdrawal during the Late registration period and receive a full refund minus a $35 administrative fee; no refunds less than 3 days prior to Kickoff event. NOTE: If the Team Leader is diagnosed with COVID-19, contact us to request a full refund. The refund policy may vary in other countries.

5. 미성년자의 참가

참가 조항에 따라, 모든 참가자는 48시간 영화제 및 참가팀의 권리에 관한 팀 리더 협약에 동의를 해야합니다. 필요한 정보와 필수 사항을 지키지 않은 팀은 무효 및 48시간 영화제의 고려대상이 되지 않을 것입니다..

7. 제작비

제작과 관련된 모든 비용은 참가자가 지불해야 합니다.

10. Basic Requirements of the Project

Entrants must adhere to the official US-VIRTUAL Filmmaking Rules. In addition, in the Kickoff Email, Entrants will receive an assignment and be given three days to make a video (an Entry). See www.48hourfilm.com/us-virtual for details.

11. 제출 관련 조항

48시간 영화제에 참가하기 위해 제출할 때, 각 팀은 이 프로젝트와 관련된 모든 비디오 또는 디지털 기록, 각 팀이 가지고 있는 퍼포먼스 및 모든 자산에 대한 권리를 가지고 있다는 것은 보증 및 대표해야 합니다. 뿐만 아니라 각 팀은 공식 규정에 따라 개인이 가지고 있는 모든 권리 및 허가의 복사본을 제출해야 하며 이를 주최 측에 귀속시킨다는 내용에 동의해야 합니다. 참가를 하므로써, 참가자는 공식 규정에 동의하는 것으로 간주되며, 48시간 영화제의 각각 제류, 직원, 감독, 에이전트, 브랜드 ,디른 파트너 및 직원에게 각각 해를 입히지 않고, 지켜야 합니다. 또한 모든 클레임과, 손상, 비용(합리적인 변호사 비용 포함) 등과 법적 책임(합의 포함), 트레이드마크, 저작권 또는 다른 지적 재산권, 출판권, 프라이버시등에 관해 어떤 손상도 입힐 수 없습니다. 참가자는 상영, 피배상자 및 48시간 영화제, 프로젝트 측에 관해 어떤 광고, 프리젠테이션, 웹 컨텐츠, 혹은 다른 물질적 생산물, 준비 상황, 참가자의 법규 위반으로 항의를 할 수 없습니다.

12. 2개 이상의 도시에서의 참가

한 도시에서 여러 팀에 속하거나 여러 도시에서 참가하는 것은 가능합니다. 또한 각 도시에서 각각 우승자로 선정되는 것 또한 가능합니다.

13. 지정된 팀 리더

만약 개인이 모여 팀을 만든 경우에도, 당신의 팀은 팀 리더를 선출해야 합니다. 이것은 공식적인 규칙이며 팀 리더 협약에도 서명을 하고 개인이 아닌 팀으로 수상을 하게 됩니다. 48시간 영화제뿐만 아니라 어느 프로젝트에서도 프로젝트를 하면서 팀이 아닌 개인의 이름으로 상을 주지 않습니다.

14. 우승자 선정

참가팀은 크게 두 프로세스로 평가를 받게 됩니다. 첫 번째는 각 도시별로 평가를 받는 것입니다. 그 후 전세계적으로 각 도시의 우승자가 모여 올해의 48시간 영화 시상식을 개최합니다. 각 팀은 심사 규정을 바탕으로 평가하는 심사위원에 의해 특정 프로세스를 거쳐 심사를 받게 됩니다. 심사 항목은 다음과 같습니다:

• 예술적 가치 (예를 들어, 스토리, 상상력, 엔터테이먼트 가치) (45%)
• 기술적 가치 (30%)
• 필수항목 (25%)

15. 48시간 프로젝트 우승자

각 도시에서 가장 높은 점수를 받은 참가팀이 우승자로 선정됩니다. 만약 동점일 경우, 첫번째 심사 항목에서 더 높은 점수를 받은 팀이 우승하게 되며, 그 후에 차순위 심사 항목에 따라 우승자가 결정됩니다. 48시간 영화제는 각 도시별로 1팀의 우승자를 선정할 것입니다.

16. Winner's Prize

Teams will be placed in screening/judging groups by geographic regions. The maximum number of teams in each group will be 24. Judges will select a "Best Film" for each group and the Best Film from each group will be screened at Filmapalooza, the Annual 48 Hour Film Project Awards Weekend (date and location to be announced). All US Virtual 48HFP Best Films will be eligible to be included in the 48HFP Showcase Screening at the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner.

17. General Conditions

By participating, Entrants agree to these Official Rules which are final and binding in all respects. The US Virtual 48 is governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, Washington, DC, USA, and all claims must be resolved in the District of Columbia courts or the Federal courts located in the District of Columbia.

18. Limitations of Liability and Release

No liability or responsibility is assumed by 48HFP or Project Parties resulting from any user's participation in or attempt to participate in the US Virtual 48HFP or ability or inability to upload or download any information in connection with participating in the Project. No responsibility or liability is assumed by the 48HFP or Project Parties for technical problems or technical malfunction arising in connection with any of the following occurrences which may affect the operation of the Project: hardware or software errors; faulty computer, telephone, cable, satellite, network, electronic, wireless or Internet connectivity or other online communication problems; errors or limitations of any Internet service providers, servers, hosts or providers; garbled, jumbled or faulty data transmissions; failure of any e-mail transmissions to be sent or received; lost, late, delayed or intercepted e-mail transmissions; inaccessibility of the Web Site in whole or in part for any reason; traffic congestion on the Internet or the Web Site; unauthorized human or non-human intervention of the operation of the Project, including without limitation, unauthorized tampering, hacking, theft, virus, bugs, worms; or destruction of any aspect of the Project, or loss, miscount, misdirection, inaccessibility or unavailability of an email account used in connection with the Project. 48HFP and Project Parties are not responsible for any typographical errors in the announcement of prizes or these Official Rules, or any inaccurate or incorrect data contained on the Web Site or social media sites maintained by the 48 Hour Film Project. Use of Web Site and the 48HFP's social media sites is at user's own risk. 48HFP and the Project Parties are not responsible for any personal injury or property damage or losses of any kind which may be sustained to user's or any other person's computer equipment resulting from participation in the Project, use of the Web Site or the download of any information from the Web Site. By participating in the Project, Entrant agrees to release, indemnify and hold 48HFP and Project Parties harmless from any and all claims, damages or liabilities arising from or relating to such Entrant's participation in the Project.
