The weekend? October 2 - 4, 2020

The challenge? To make a film in only 48 hours!

Filmmakers from all over the Pittsburgh, PA area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from around the world at Filmapalooza 2021 for a chance at the grand prize and an opportunity to screen at the Cannes Film Festival 2021 Short Film Corner.

Notes

Best practices: 

No final video file can be 3 gigs (or bigger) or the system rejects it!

HD (1920x1080) or UHD (3840x2160) are both great!

Export settings: h264 / VBR two pass / 45 Mbps / Render at Maximum bit depth (optional) / Use Maximum render Quality (optional)

Audio mixing: Master Audio peaks to -6db. Meaning the loudest audio tops out at -6 db. 

Audio Codec - AAC / 48000 Hz / Stereo / Audio Quality High / Bitrate 320 kbps / If given the option choose 24 bit over 16 bit audio. 

All videos will be loaded onto a timeline and exported together as a program for screenings.
