Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner

48HFP at Cannes

The Cannes Film Festival, the world's most prestigious film festival, happens every year in May, and the 48HFP has been a part of the festivities since 2007. Each year, we present our top films at a special screening at the Short Film Corner. Winning 48 hour filmmakers come from around the world to celebrate their films.

The Cannes Film Festival (or Festival de Cannes) is one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world. Since its beginnings in 1946, Cannes has birthed such films as Apocalypse Now, La Dolce Vita, and Barton Fink, among scores of other films that are now considered staples among cinéastes around the world.

The 48 Hour Film Project has partnered with Cannes for the last few years, featuring a small selection of the top 48HFP films from around the world as a part of the Short Film Corner. We are proud to continue that tradition this year as we again send some of the top 48HFP films to Cannes this coming May.

Congratulations to all of the 48HFP filmmakers whose films have been selected to screen in Cannes. We feel these films not only exemplify the talent of the filmmakers that created them, but also embody the true spirit behind the 48 Hour Film Project, and we are proud to have them represent the 48HFP in Cannes.
