The Richmond 48 Hour Film Project
What Happened During Your Weekend?
The Richmond filmmakers share stories from their wild weekend of filmmaking. (Blogging ended shortly after the filmmaking weekend.)
Fantastic!
I just have to say how tremendously proud I am of our team and competition this year. I was thoroughly impressed by the caliber of work that was put into our film from the screenwriters through to the editors, I even love the shirt once again (Thanks Charles and Zane!)!
I have been truly blessed to have stumbled into what has turned into a wonderful thing.
Thanks to all!

WOW
What an awesome experience. I am so grateful to my 21 colleagues on team Gluck Ziel. We drew one of the more difficult genres (historical fiction / period piece), and had to pull together lots of different elements. If any one out of 6 or 8 different things weren't just right, the film would not have worked. But they all did, starting with an amazing creative session Friday night where all 22 of us had a part in coming up with the idea of our film.
Let's fill the house on Saturday 4pm!

Sexual innuendo the whole family can enjoy
We could not have been blessed any more with the talent crew and locations we wrangled together for this thing. This has constantly reminded me not to take things for granted.
The day went pretty smooth. The night before, we found out that there would be no access to bathrooms on location. This is where your locations guy earns double pay;). We were able to arrange a deal with the good lord and he graciously let us use his baptist church, a mere 5 miles down the road. As for the heat, I guess the devil wanted to contribute something as well. The whole experience for me personally was the most exciting thing that's happened since my son was born...he's only 2... In addition to all the support from cast and crew, my family gave me a lot of support, which I think is just as important as everything else. Unfortunately I had to kick the wife and kid out of the house for the weekend, but they had a good time with granmama and grandaddy. I strongly suggest to anyone in the future, if you have kids, to do the same. I think all of the moment that were'nt planned ended up in the movie.
The blog title pretty much sums up the theme of the film.
