Success in the Big Apple!
23 New York Film Teams started the competition on Friday, May 31st. Two days later, 21 of the teams submitted completed short films. The first New York 48 Hour Film Project was a complete success. The film Drop Off party was held at the Pink Pony in SoHo. Filmmakers regaled each other with tales of sleeplessness and near disaster during the weekend of making movies.
The films screened at the Anthology Film Archive to wildly enthusiastic crowds. The audience was surveyed at each screening to determine the audience award.
