The awards for the 2008 Tour were announced on March 14th, 2009, at the Tower Theater as part of Filmapalooza at the Miami International Film Festival. The winners are:

Best Screenplay, Best Acting, Best Editing
"An Old Scam" by Ha'amoraim from Tel Aviv

Second Runner Up for Best Film
"Aidan 5" by Jakson from Columbus

Winner of the Panasonic HD Filmmaker Showdown
"Quillions" by More Where That Came From from Denver
(More Where That Came From received a Panasonic HPX170 HD camera.)

Winner of the International Shootout
"Buying Time" by Half Baked from Melbourne
(Half Baked received 1,000 USD.)
