The Houston 48 Hour Film Project

The 48 Hour Film Project comes to Houston on the weekend of June 6. Filmmakers from all over the Houston area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from around the world for the title "Best 48 Hour Film of 2008".

Enter today! Space is limited.

Teams will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the initial registration is full, we will put teams on a waiting list. If a registered team drops out or if we add additional theater space, teams on the waiting list will be added to the Project.

Early Bird Registration is $135. Teams must register on or before Monday, May 12, to get this special rate. Afterwards, registration is $155.

Events

Kickoff

Date: Friday, June 6
Time: 6pm
Place: Sherlocks Pub, 1952 W Gray St, River Oaks (near Krogers)
Info: Team representatives must arrive at 5:45pm and can leave by 7pm. You must bring the Team Leader's Agreement, signed by the team leader. You must have someone present to draw the genre for your film. Please limit total attendees to two people.

Dropoff

Date: Sunday, June 8
Time: 6.30pm
Place: Sherlocks Pub, 1952 W Gray St, River Oaks (near Krogers)
Info: Films must be in by 7.30p to be on time. Late films will be accepted at this location until at least 9p. After that, contact the Houston Producer to arrange a dropoff location.

Screenings

Date: June 11 & 12
Time: 6.30pm & 9pm
Place: River Oaks Theatre, 2009 W Gray St, River Oaks (near Shepherd)
