Liz Langston Retires From The 48 Hour Film ProjectTuesday, March 5, 2019

Liz Langston has retired after 18 years of co-producing the 48 Hour Film Project

Dear 48 Hour Filmmakers and Film Fans,

After nearly two decades of bringing filmmakers around the world together through the 48HFP, Liz Langston is moving on to pursue other interests. As Liz says, "I am grateful for the amazing 18 years I've spent building the 48 Hour Film Project with Mark (Ruppert). We’ve grown from one city to 120 cities worldwide, and incredibly, over 50,000 48 Hour Films made in the time. It's been a phenomenal ride and I wouldn't trade it for anything. But 18 years is a long time and now it's time for me to move on. I'm looking forward to cheering from the sidelines as Mark and the 48HFP accomplish fantastic things."

We wish Liz well in her new endeavors. She is officially "retired" from the 48HFP as of the end of February. Her responsibilities will transfer to other members of the HQ staff, under the leadership of Executive Producer Mark Ruppert and Director of Operations Christina Ruppert. Filmmakers, producers, and 48HFP staff will all celebrate Liz at this year's Filmapalooza.
